0.2.3 release


Edit: added linux build

Changes in this version:

  • Tweak aiming of enemy aimed shots - so you can't just sit there through the first wave
  • Add menu button navigation via gamepad axis
  • Add gamepad selection to settings

I've noticed that axis input isn't registered with my Hori Arcade Stick, which is a bummer. I will look into it, not sure why it's not registering, there's no alternate axis reading in SFML that I could see.

For the next version I will also play around with tap/burst shots instead of autofire, so you'll have to tap the button to shoot. Maybe I'll make it a toggleable option.

And I will also change score reset on death, it used to be that I divided the current score in half, but I changed it to completely reset to 0 at some point because I noticed you could farm score by dying. Right now that means if you don't complete a run you will come out with 0 score, which is a bit silly.
