Settings and minor tweaks and enhancements


Version 0.3.0 is now available. This update is mostly about settings, I've divided the settings menu up and added some more graphics options, and a couple of dev/debug options.

There is also the possibility to display these debug-variables at the bottom by pressing F11:

They have been in there since an earlier version, what they mean is

  • NPA (projectiles alive) current : max
  • NEA (enemies alive) current : max
  • FPS deltatime

I've also made some tweaks and fixes to the editor. It's currently disabled in the release, but I added an atlas screenshot feature to get an overall idea of the flow of the game and levels.

The plan for next version is to get keyboard bindings in place, and map out the rest of the levels.

Full changelog (the important stuff)

  • Gameplay:
    • Tweak shoot timeouts and remove burst from manual shooting
    • Changed draw order so particle emitters are drawn over entities
    • Tweak enemy health values (halved from before)

    • Split up the settings menu into submenus
    • Save/load window position and size
    • Added proper pause game menu, with full access to settings menu

    • Change font to Press Start 2P to support chevrons. Changed L/R side glyphs for selected buttons based on type.
